The Ultimate Archaeological Experience – A Collaborative Approach to Understanding our Past
Imagine uncovering First Nations history and digging with an archaeologist at a bison bone bed in east central Alberta. Your group can learn about archaeology and First Nations history over a two-day period. This includes informative sessions about the region, a day and a half of excavating at the archaeological site, and a visit to a buffalo rubbing stone. Unearth artifacts such as, arrowheads and pottery that were crafted by the people thousands of years ago. After a day of breathing in the fresh air of Alberta’s grasslands, spend the evening sampling traditional foods and attending an interactive lecture given by the project archaeologist and a visiting First Nations historian.
